Lock Servicing

Wondering why locks even need servicing? You’re not alone. It’s not a service that many people consider, but it is important.

Although your locks may not be on your radar as something that needs maintaining, they do wear, become stiff or can even jam. Seeing to these situations can be costly in the event of an emergency and often happen at inconvenient times, so it’s best you keep an eye on their condition. Overtime dust, dirt and other contaminants clog locks. They can also become rusted when exposed to the elements.

When locks become difficult to operate, it’s a sign they have become stiff. Once a lock has stiffened, it can easily damage your keys, or even break them off inside the mechanism. By booking preventative servicing, you can avoid this and keep your locks in great condition.

We don’t recommend servicing your own locks as some oils and household lubricants can cause damage to the mechanism. Simply call us and we will inspect and service the system for you.
